Ed Spivey

December 31, 1938 ~ July 6, 2020 (age 81)


Ed Spivey, 81, a resident of Pasadena, MD for over 60 years, passed away at home on Monday, July 6, 2020.

Mr. Spivey was born on December 31, 1938 in Baltimore, MD to the late Walter and Mazie Spivey. He worked as a Cabinet Maker for 7 years before becoming a Union Carpenter. He retired in 2001. Ed was also a longtime member of Chesapeake Christian Center. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and spending time with his family.

Mr. Spivey is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Karetta Spivey; sons, Harry "Eddie" Spivey, Jr. (Lisa) and Donald R. Spivey (Kimberly); daughter, Stacy L. Knipple (James); sisters, Delores Hill and Mary Jane Young; 10 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, July 9 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, July 10 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Chesapeake Christian Center, 206 Weston Woods Dr., Pasadena, MD 21122 where funeral services will take place on Friday, July 10 at 12:00 p.m. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chesapeake Christian Center, 206 Weston Woods Dr., Pasadena, MD 21122.
