Earl H. Johnson, Sr.

Earl H. Johnson, Sr., 88, a resident of Pasadena for 66 years and formerly of Baltimore, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Hospice of the Chesapeake. 

Mr. Johnson was born June 19, 1934 in Hopewell, Virginia to the late Charles and Telzie Johnson. He served honorably in the US Navy during the Korean War. He went on to work for the Baltimore City Fire Department starting as a firefighter until his retirement in 1982. In his free time, he enjoyed going to auctions, antique car shows, and country music gatherings. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren particularly going to their sporting events. He also enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends. He was very loving and a great provider. He will be greatly missed. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his wife Yvonne Johnson and siblings Marshall Johnson, James Johnson, Charles Johnson, Lillian Carlan, Veda Gordon, Helen Steward and Doris Armstrong. He is survived by his children, Earl H. Johnson, Jr., Cindy Johnson Rodriguez, Janet Johnson Smoot; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. 

Friends may call Monday, April 24th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a funeral service will take place Tuesday, April 25th at 11:30 am. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral services at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
