Dorothy "Dottie" B. Zimmerman

Dorothy “Dottie” B. Zimmerman, 92, a resident of Arnold Maryland since the 1950’s, died on Friday, July 19, 2024 at her home.

She was born on Sunday, April 10th, 1932 in Havre de Grace Maryland to the late Samuel W. Bullock Sr. and Claire Bullock (nee Healy). Dottie spent her early years in Havre de Grace before moving to Anne Arundel County.  Through the years Dottie and her family lived in Eastport, Arnold, Stevensville and Havelock North Carolina.  Dottie was employed as a secretary for Nationwide Insurance Company for over 40 years, retiring in the 1980's.  Not being one to sit idle, after retiring from Nationwide, she worked for her son’s construction company as the office manager.  In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, keeping a beautiful home, crossword puzzles, antiquing and enjoying the beaches and waterways near the areas she lived.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Dale R. Zimmerman; her sons Bob Zimmerman and Jim Zimmerman; her siblings Samuel W. Bullock, Jr., Carole A. Spradley, James C. Bullock, and Sheila B. Moreland.

Dottie is survived by her children Jeff Zimmerman and his wife Vicki and Cathy Rockwell and her husband Patrick; her grandchildren Brian Zimmerman, Travis Zimmerman, Michael Zimmerman, Donnie Grey, Jennifer Grey, Ashly Zimmerman, Jeffery Zimmerman, Patrick Rockwell and Sarah Rockwell; her many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 5pm to 6pm at Stallings Funeral Home where a memorial service will begin at 6:00pm.
