Dorothy Lee (Sisson) Wilkins

It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothy Lee Wilkins announces her passing on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the age of 85. 

She was born on April 28, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Douglas and Anna Sisson. Dot was primarily a homemaker, but worked various jobs in the retail industry. As a devoted mom of 4, she had many volunteer positions in the schools and community. She enjoyed her family get togethers, going out for drives, vacationing, going out to eat, and shopping. 

In addition to her parents, Dot is preceded in death by her son, Gregory Wilkins. 

She is survived by her husband, John Wilkins, Jr.; children Garry Wilkins (Stacey), Danielle Leimkuhler (Paul) and Darlene Galentine (Jeff); her 6 grandchildren Amber Johnson (David), Jordan O'Connell, Brian Leimkuhler (Jami), Christine Borunda (Mark), Ashley Wilkins, Jenna Galentine, her great grandchildren Joel Borunda and Rowan Leimkuhler, her brother Douglas Sisson Jr. and her sister Joann Vidler (Bob); her niece, Mauri, and her family; as well as her extended family and all of her friends. 

Family and friends may visit on, September 24, 2023 from 2-6 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place September 25, 2023 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Chesapeake, 8325 Ventnor Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
