Donald A. Yirka, 84, a lifelong resident of Baltimore died on November 14, 2020 at Hospice of the Chesapeake.
He was born on April 23, 1936 in Maryland to the late John and Stella Yirka.
Mr. Yirka served honorably in the US Army. He later worked at Chesapeake Finish Metal and retired in 2001.
He was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, the American Legion #187 and the Sons of the VFW #2462.
Mr. Yirka enjoyed fishing, crabbing and gardening.
He is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Joan Yirka, his daughter Donna Waters, and a grandchild.
Mr. Yirka is survived by his children; Sharon Carter, Donald "Butch" J. Yirka, and Lisa LaClair, his siblings; Florence Martin, Pat Snyder, and Joe Yirka, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Friends may visit on Friday, November 20, 2020 from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. where funeral services will be held on Saturday November 21, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
