Donald Paul Gahs, 94, a resident of Catonsville, Maryland, previously a 39-year resident of Pasadena, Maryland, died on November 17, 2025, at Gilchrist Hospice Care Center in Columbia.
Donald was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who worked for over 25 years at Sears. Outside of work, he enjoyed a full life built on the hobbies he loved most. He was an avid photographer and gardener, a skilled woodworker, engaging tour guide, and loved to be sailing on the Magothy River aboard his sailboat, Promesa.
He is survived by his son, Thomas (Angela), daughter, Bonnie (Kris), and four granddaughters, Lisa, Kate, Kelly (Eric), and Sarah; siblings, Lockered "Bud" Gahs and Shirley Aro. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Marta Gahs and brother, Kenneth Gahs.
A memorial service for Donald Gahs will be held on Saturday, March 14th at 11 am, at the Charlestown Retirement Community Chapel (a.k.a. Our Lady of the Angels Parish). Please note that those who need handicap access to the chapel will need to enter the back of the building via the Medical Center, where there will be an elevator, followed by a short walk to the chapel.
