It is with profound sadness that the family of Dolores “Dee” Spirt-Rayment announces her peaceful passing on Friday, April 17, 2026, at the age of 92. Born Dolores Ann Wisotzkey on March 27, 1934, Dee lived a vibrant and fulfilling life, marked by devotion to her family, a passion for adventure, and a lifelong commitment to caring for others.
A native of Pennsylvania, Dee graduated from Carlisle High School before pursuing her nursing education at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, where she graduated in 1955. She began her career at Carlisle Hospital and later touched many lives at Johns Hopkins Hospital during the 1990s, where she was known for her compassion and dedication.
Dee married her first husband, Albert Spirt, in 1957. Together they raised three beloved children—Adrienne, Brian, and Gary—in Owings Mills, Maryland. They embraced life’s adventures, enjoying travel, camping trips, and time together as a family. Dee was an avid camper and a leader of her daughter’s Girl Scout troop, sharing her love of the outdoors. She was also a member of the Baltimore Bicycling Club and loved cycling in the US and Canada.
After Albert’s passing, Dee settled in Arnold, Maryland, in 2003 with her second husband, Donald Rayment, with whom she continued her travels and adventures.
Not one to let age define her, Dee could be found riding her bicycle and hiking well into her 80s. She also followed her passion for basketball, especially cheering on the Maryland Terrapins. Her creativity found expression in ceramics, a hobby that brought her and her loved ones great joy.
Dee is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Rayment; her loving children, Adrienne Spirt and her husband, Richard Jones, Brian Spirt and his wife, Tomi-Lyn; and her cherished grandchildren, Savanna and her husband, Joseph, Hannah, Caroline, and Nathaniel. She was predeceased by her first husband, Albert Spirt; her son, Gary Spirt; and her brother, Robert Wisotzkey.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. to honor and celebrate Dee’s vibrant life. Interment will take place at Baltimore Hebrew Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in memory of Dee’s generous spirit and in support of ongoing research efforts.
Dee’s legacy of love, joy, and adventure will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
