Deborah Whitaker Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Deborah A. Whitaker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the age of 71. Born in Ft. Meade, Maryland, Debbie spent the majority of her life in Glen Burnie, Maryland, where she touched the lives of many with her kindness and warmth.

A proud alumna of Glen Burnie High School, Debbie built a fulfilling career in management, dedicating her professional years serving the State of Maryland before embarking on a new venture in kitchen design. Known for her vibrant spirit and love for entertaining, she found joy in singing karaoke and was often the life of the party.

Debbie's love extended beyond her immediate family. She was an active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #40, where her compassion and dedication shone brightly. Her adventurous spirit led her to enjoy camping trips and ATV excursions with her family, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. An avid bingo player, she enjoyed time spent in the company of friends and community members.

Family meant everything to Debbie. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 45 years, Tim Whitaker, her loving daughter Amanda Michael and her husband Dave, and her adored granddaughter Kylee Michael. She is also survived by her brothers, Vince Mise and Quentin Mise. Her parents, Marvin James Carr and Patsy Ann Mise, and her brothers Allen Carr and David Carr, predeceased her, offering their warm embrace in the next life.

Debbie's family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate her life at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. An afternoon visitation will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by an evening visitation from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:00 am. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake in Debbie's memory, ensuring her legacy of care and compassion continues to help others.
