Dean Stephen Reynolds, 81, a resident of Pasadena, Maryland, died at his home on Monday, January 3, 2022.
Mr. Reynolds was born on Tuesday, May 14, 1940 in Princeton, New Jersey to the late Wilfred and Ruth Reynolds. He grew up on Ridge Road in Kingston, NJ, attended Kingston Elementary School, and graduated from Princeton High School in 1958. Dean then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where he served honorably for 6 years. Following his discharge from the military, he began a long and successful career at Rutgers University and retired from there after 27 years of service.
Outside of work, Mr. Reynolds loved working with his hands. He was very knowledgeable about carpentry and enjoyed doing home and furniture renovations and repairs. He also was an avid bird watcher and loved to travel.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Reynolds is preceded in death by his wife, Pok Sun "Penny" Reynolds, and brother, Sydney Reynolds. He is survived by his loving partner of 32 years, Jung Mae Rhee and her daughter Vicki (Matt Kim) and grandchildren, Aiden, and Julian; his late brother's wife, Barb Reynolds; brother, Martin Reynolds (Betty); sons, Stephen Reynolds (Kristell) and James Reynolds (Karen); 7 grandchildren, Ashley (Jesse Long), Jacob, BobbiJo, Jesse, Pamela, Bella, and Julie; and 3 great-grandchildren, Liam, Brooke and Baybe Brooke; and nieces and cousins.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, January 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery.
