David R. Dilda, Jr.

David R. Dilda, Jr. beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on Monday, February 19th, 2024 at the age of 89 in Pasadena, Maryland. 

He was born on January 21st, 1935 in Richmond County, North Carolina to the late Bessie and David R. Dilda, Sr.

David was a dedicated Project Designer for  NSA working along side his father for 22 years, retiring in the mid 1980's. After his retirement from the agency he was an owner operator truck driver for over 10 years before going to work for Crown Fuel as a driver of a delivery tanker until his retirement in 2008.  

He was a loving father to his children David R. Dilda III, Mark Dilda, Lee Dilda, Kellie Todd, and Cheryl Sisson. He was also a cherished brother to William Dilda and Lynn Dilda.

David was preceded in death by his father, David R. Dilda Sr., his mother, Bessie Dilda, his spouse,  of 49 years, Carolyn Dilda and his sister Susan "Toots" Cagle. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland on Saturday, March 16th, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
