Danielle M. Emche, 41 of Laurel, Maryland, passed away on August 22, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 14 years, Nima Ashkeboussi, 5-year old daughter Auriel Ashkeboussi, mother Dolores Emche of Kent Island, Maryland, sister Julie Biedrzycki of Lanham, Maryland, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece, and five nephews. She is pre-deceased by her father Peter Emche of Kent Island, Maryland. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland, with a bachelor’s degree in government and politics and minor in Spanish, and Johns Hopkins University, with a Master’s in political science.
Danielle had an adventurous spirit and was an avid world traveler, having visited over 30 countries for work and pleasure on 5 Continents, and encouraged Auriel’s budding interest in cultures of the world. She was a skilled violinist and a voracious reader who always had a new book on her table. She will be remembered for singing and humming all day long through household tasks, being generous with her time and compassion, and helping family and friends deal with challenges without hesitation. But the role she cherished most of all in her life was being a mother. Her daily life revolved around her daughter, investing time in new arts and crafts, visits to the library and Robinson Nature Center, and reading bedtime stories. Her final gift to the world was through organ donation.
Details about her memorial will be provided at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Eating Disorders Association in Danielle’s name: https://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org.
