Daniela H. (Edlich) Froat

Daniela H. Froat, 61, a resident of Pasadena, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. 

Mrs. Froat was born September 17, 1960 in Cochem, Germany to Helga Edlich and the late Paul Edlich. She worked for the State of Maryland for over 30 years. Mrs. Froat loved animals. If there was an animal in need, you could count on her to take it in and care for it, including stopping her car to help turtles cross the road. At one point in her life, she contemplated being a vet. A huge heart, Mrs. Froat was a compassionate, caring and kind woman. She would go out of her way to help others with whatever they needed. She loved Christmas time and watching Hallmark movies. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching old movies, listening to Elvis, and collecting Santa Claus and owl figurines. Above all, Mrs. Froat loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Mrs. Froat is preceded in death by her father, Paul Edlich. She is survived by her mother, Helga Edlich, loving husband of 41 years, William Froat, Sr., daughter Desiree Mancha and her husband Brent of Millersville, MD, sons William Froat, Jr. and his wife Lubov of Georgia, Ross Froat and his wife Loreal of Kansas, four siblings, grandchildren Lila, Gavin, Branson, Emery and twin babies, Bennett and Kai, on the way.

A Memorial Gathering will take place Saturday, October 2nd where family and friends may visit any time between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. Interment is private. 

Memorial contributions may be made the the Anne Arundel County SPCA in honor of Mrs. Froat.
