Cynthia Ann Carbaugh Jackman, 66, a lifelong resident of Martinsburg, WV, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 and was promoted to heaven.
Mrs. Jackman was born September 28, 1954 in Martinsburg, WV to the late Rennes and Marjorie Carbaugh. She graduated from Martinsburg High School and went on to study at West Virginia University where she received a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing. She then went on to University of Virginia where she earned a Master's Degree of Science in Nursing. Upon graduation from University of Virginia she began her career at City Hospital in Martinsburg. In addition, Cindy enjoyed teaching nursing student at various schools. Mrs. Jackman loved our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an avid supporter of her husband's Ministry throughout the years and assisted along-side him where ever he served. She enjoyed the congregation at the Community United Methodist Church where he currently is serving. In most of the churches she enjoyed working with kids in Sunday School and frequently lead Women's Bible Studies. It was a special joy to sing to the Lord where she frequently was a part of the Cantatas. In addition, Cindy would play the piano or organ for services whenever the need arose. In Summer, she loved to help with Vacation Bible School. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach! When she wasn't in Martinsburg, Mrs. Jackman loved to grab some good sea food in Pasadena. Mrs. Jackman loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jackman is preceded in death by her infant brother, Daniel Carbaugh. She is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Rev. Dennis E. Jackman, M.D., son, Dennis E. Jackman, II and his girlfriend Brianna Baker of Martinsburg, WV, daughter Rachel Jackman Link and her husband David of Martinsburg, WV, brothers Bryan Carbaugh and his wife April, Frank Carbaugh, grandchildren Kaylee Link, Brayden Link, Grayson Link, niece Susan Wathen and her husband Chris, and nephew Greg Carbaugh and his wife Heather.
A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Bedington United Methodist Church, Martinsburg. Friends will be received from Noon to 2:00 PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Samaritan’s Purse or the church of your choice.
