It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cynthia Ann Hill, who departed from this world on Tuesday, April 21st, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on April 17th, 1963, in Annapolis, Maryland, Cynthia spent her life bringing joy and love to those around her. She resided in Pasadena, Maryland, where she was a cherished member of the community.
Cynthia was a dedicated paralegal assistant, a career that she pursued with diligence and passion. Her attention to detail and commitment to justice were well-respected by her colleagues and peers. Beyond her professional life, Cynthia was a woman of diverse interests and deep commitments. She found immense joy in cooking and gardening, creating meals and outdoor spaces that were as vibrant and nurturing as her spirit. She also loved to go to concerts and enjoyed listening to music.
A lover of board games, she was particularly fond of Scrabble, where her sharp mind and playful spirit shone through. Cynthia was also an avid collector, delighting in the stories behind each item she gathered. Her love for family was paramount, and she relished her role as a mother and grandmother. Forever young at heart, she was the embodiment of coolness and unconditional love, forever leaving an indelible mark on those she met.
Cynthia leaves behind a family who adored her. She is survived by her father, Lawrence Strittmatter, and her mother, Frances Dunn. Her children, Joseph Strittmatter, Katie Merritt, Stacie Hill, and Grace Hill, will carry forward her legacy of love and laughter. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Debbie Gartelman, and treasured grandchildren, Rosalie Merritt and Autumn Wittmyer.
Though our hearts are heavy with her passing, Cynthia's spirit will continue to inspire us every day. Her life was a testament to the power of a nurturing heart and a spirited soul.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 pm. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
Cynthia Ann Hill will forever be remembered for her warmth, her love, and her spirited zest for life. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
