Sadly, on April 17, 2020, Christine Fitzgerald passed away unexpectedly in her home.
She was a devoted wife of 47 years to Nelson, and a beloved mother to her two children Sean & Erin and their respective spouses, Debbie & James. A doting grandmother to Mikayla and Sean Junior, who she loved whole heartedly.
Never one to complain, she was loved by all who knew her. Her positive spirit and outlook carried her through life with a love of God and a great appreciation for her family. She always had a kind word to say and a smile to share. Though she will forever be missed, we hold her in our hearts always.
She was a resident of Pasadena for more than 30 years and enjoyed bird watching, cross stitching, reading, playing with her two granddogs, spending time at local parks and most of all, being with her family. Ever frugal, she loved finding a great deal at Boscov’s and making trips to Chincoteague Island to sample ice cream from the Island Creamery and relaxing on the beach.
Christine is preceded in death by her parents, Earl & Olga Kern, and is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and her two loving sisters, Donna & Patricia (husband Patrick). She is also survived by her 4 beloved nieces and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that anyone moved to do so can make a charitable donation to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 8615 Fort Smallwood Road, Pasadena, MD 21122.
