Christine L. (Waltman) Burrhus

Christine L. Burrhus, 72, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, died on October 22, 2023, at her residence.

Born on June 22, 1951, in Baltimore to Paul C. and Delores Waltman, Christine was a loving daughter and sister to her brothers, Paul and Rocky.  

She was married to her beloved husband, Martin Burrhus, Jr., for 40 years, and they enjoyed boating, swimming, and clamming on the Magathy River as well as camping in West Virginia. Christine was a devoted mother and grandmother to her girls, Tammy and Ashley, and loved spending family time together.

She worked as a dental hygienist and retired from the Odenton practice of Drs. Gasbara and Tehrani.  

Christine was a Christian woman, who found joy in music.  She had a beautiful voice and played many instruments including the organ and accordion. She also enjoyed painting, gardening, cooking, and sewing.  She had a lovely personality and cared deeply for others.  Even her illness over that last few months could not erase her wonderful smile and sense of humor.  She will be missed by all her were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Emmons, her son-in-law Patrick Ryan, Jr., and her granddaughter, Ashley Edge.

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
