Christie Hope (Jones) Raines

Christie Hope Raines, 47, a lifelong resident of Maryland, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 in her home. 

Mrs. Raines was born January 15, 1976 in Baltimore, MD to Ronald and Darlen Jones. She worked as an Elementary Special Education Teacher for Howard County for 25 years. She was a dedicated member of Jenkins Memorial Church and was a fierce advocate for Arterial Tortuosity Syndrome. She enjoyed going to the beach and in her younger years, swimming. She was passionate about teaching and absolutely loved providing education for those with special needs. She was quiet, hardworking and dedicated to her job and raising her family. Above all, she loved her children, whom she enjoyed spending time with and her dogs. 

Mrs. Raines is survived by her parents, Ronald and Darlen Jones; loving husband of 23 years, Thomas Raines, Jr.; children, Camryn Raines and Jordyn Raines; sister, Donna Snyder; step-brother, David Jones; nephews, Joshua Snyder, Jacob Snyder, David Jones and Vicky Jones; father-in-law, Thomas Raines, Sr. and mother-in-law, Charlotte Raines; many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Friends may call Wednesday, December 13th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122. Services will be held Thursday, December 14th at 11:00 am at Jenkins Memorial Church, 133 Riviera Drive, Pasadena, MD 21122. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
