Cheryl Ann Mattingly, 68, a 50 year resident of Pasadena, MD and formerly of Wiley Ford, WV, died on July 8, 2021 at the Hospice Center of the Chesapeake.
Mrs. Mattingly was born on August 5, 1952 in Cumberland, MD to the late Austin and Irma Judy. She served as a Union employee for the U.S. Post Office for 30 years. After retiring from that position, she worked as a Crossing Guard for Anne Arundel County for 5 years. Outside of work, Cheryl enjoyed cooking, especially baking for holidays and special occasions, and tending to her flowers and plants. She was also a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Pasadena. Above all, she loved her family - they were always her number one priority and the joy of her life.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mattingly is preceded in death by 2 siblings and her beloved husband, Leonard Mattingly. She is survived by her longtime partner of 23 years, Herbert Letmate, Jr.; daughter, Allison Silver and her husband, Allen of Baltimore; 2 siblings; stepdaughter, Nichole Birch of Pasadena; 8 grandchildren, Alexander Fisk and his wife, Taylor, Danielle and Delanie Embro, Tanna Kunst, Jordan, Tyler, and Gavin Bruns, and Paige Kirby; and 2 great-grandchildren, Harper Fisk and Emma Kunst.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, July 15 from 12:00-1:30 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where family sharing will begin at 1:30 p.m. Interment private.
