Cherry Hinton

Cherry Louise Hinton age 77, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, surrounded by her three loving grandchildren, Heather, Michael, and MJ. For the past 20 years, she made her home in Artemas, Pennsylvania, after previously living in Pasadena, Maryland.

Born on May 8, 1948, Cherry was the daughter of Florence Burton. She was married to the love of her life, William “Bill” Hinton Jr., for 39 wonderful years. Cherry was preceded in death by her parents, brother Gary, and her beloved husband.

Cherry is survived by her long-time companion George Hubbard, her brother Tommy Carter, her daughter Valerie (Mark) Todd, her grandchildren Heather (Ben) Seidl, Michael (Amanda) Reynolds, and MJ Todd, as well as four cherished great-grandchildren. Of all the titles she held in life, “Grandma” was the one she treasured most. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever remember the enormous role she played in shaping their lives.

She adored her spoiled-rotten cocker spaniels, Rocky and Cramer, who brought her constant joy. Cherry was a fierce competitor in a good game of Phase 10 and never passed up the chance to enjoy a classic western movie.

Cherry will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Her memory will continue to live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the love she gave so generously.

A celebration of Cherry’s life will be held in the spring, when family and friends can gather to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
