Charlotte J. (Fitzgerald) Hyre

Charlotte J. Hyre, 78, a recent resident of Hagerstown and formerly of Glen Burnie, MD, died on February 25, 2020 at Cadia Healthcare Center in Hagerstown.

Mrs. Hyre was born on May 5, 1941 in Buckhannon, WV to the late Francis and Vesta Fitzgerald. In her younger years, she worked as a waitress. She also enjoyed playing bingo and was known to have quite the sweet-tooth.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hyre is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Hyre. She is survived by her sons, Thomas, Derek, Wesley, and Patrick Hyre; daughters, Tresa Lauer and Suzanne Stopowski; sister, Jackie Thomas; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 1 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Beefalo Bob's, 8015 Fort Smallwood Rd., Baltimore, MD 21226.
