Charles William Whittington, Jr.

Charles William Whittington, Jr., 69, a lifelong resident of Maryland, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. 

Mr. Whittington was born June 8, 1955 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Charles, Sr. and Doris Whittington. He worked as a Longshoremen for the Port of Baltimore until his retirement after 33 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and cooking. He also enjoyed throwing big parties, especially 4th of July where family would gather and spend time with each other. He was described as being feisty, loving and caring. He was the type of person who made friends with anyone he met. He will be missed. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Whittington is preceded in death by his brother David Whittington. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Trudie Whittington; children, Aaron Michael Whittington and his wife Nichole, Brian "Moe" Keith Whittington and his wife Jamie, Charles "Buck" William Whittington III and his wife Angie, Amanda Lyn Jones and her husband Raymond Rogers, Stacey Marie Whittington; siblings, Debbie Mullen, Gary Whittington, Julie Hall; 14 grandchildren and his beloved dog, Zilla.

Friends and family may visit Sunday, September 29th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a funeral will be held Monday, September 30th at 11:00 am. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral service at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Glen Burnie.
