Charles Ellsworth Kammerer

Charles Ellsworth Kammerer, 91, a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022 in his home. 

Mr. Kammerer was born June 27, 1930 in Baltimore, MD to the late John and Elizabeth Kammerer. He worked as an electrician for Crown Cork and Seal until his retirement after 42 years of service. A passionate fisherman, Mr. Kammerer loved everything fish! Whether that was a new fishing pole, practicing his cast,  or enjoying taking his grandchildren on a fishing trip, his life revolved around his love of the sport. His other hobbies included vegetable gardening, cooking and doughnut tasting. Described as an extremely kind man, Mr. Kammerer was a talented story teller and a dedicated family man. Above all, he loved his family dearly, especially his wife. 

In addition his parents, Mr. Kammerer is preceded in death by his sister, Anna Blake. He is survived by his beloved wife of 73.5 years, Elizabeth Kammerer, son Charles E. Kammerer, Jr. and his wife Bernie of Butler, PA, daughter Bonnie Lhamon and her husband Sam of Pasadena, MD, siblings John Kammerer, William Kammerer and his wife Marilyn, Margaret Bennett, Joan Hammersla and her husband George, grandchildren Shannon Hackmann and her husband Chris, Heather Tatone and her husband Adam, Jason Lhamon, great grandchildren Ashley and Jocelyn Hackmann and Carson, Bradley and Dylan Tatone. 

Friends may call Thursday, April 7th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will take place Friday, April 8th at 12:00 pm. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park immediately following services at the funeral home.
