Catherine Nuttall, 95, a 15 year resident of Pasadena, MD and formerly of Baltimore City and Catonsville, died at her home on October 11, 2020.
Ms. Nuttall was born on March 17, 1925 in Baltimore, MD to the late James and Katherine Cooper. She was employed by the state of Maryland for 30 years. Outside of work, Catherine was a woman of many interests. She traveled extensively, loved going out dancing, enjoyed tending her flower garden, and was passionate about exercising - she even continued to do Yoga into her eighties. However, her focus on fitness never stopped her from enjoying a bag of Cheetos! Catherine was raised in the Methodist Church and always had a giving heart, especially when it came to helping the Native American community, which she did regularly by donating to the Native Indian Foundation.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Nuttall is preceded in death by 4 brothers, James W. Cooper, Jr., Raymond T. Cooper, Irving Cooper, and Leroy Cooper, and her niece, Joan Young. She is survived by 11 nieces, Janet Staude, Melissa Tracey, Cathy Schlick, Denise Scott, Penny Leddon, Trisha Crusse, Leanne Lauterbach, Ashley Mae Berry, Krissy Scott, Amy Scott, Meagan Benner; and 7 nephews, Jimmy Cooper, Gordon Berry, Jr., Charles Young, Jr., Gordon Berry, III, William Crusse, Jr., Patrick Crusse, and George Schlick, Jr.
Family and friends may visit on Thursday, October 15 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where funeral services will take place on Friday, October 16 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Loudon Park Cemetery. Please be aware that, due to county-mandated COVID-19 restrictions, Stallings Funeral Home is only allowing 60 people in the building at a time and face coverings must be worn while inside.
