Catherine Josephine (Scardina) Barnhill Johnson

We regret to announce the passing of Catherine Josephine Scardina Barnhill Johnson age 95 of Tyler, Texas on May 30, 2022. Catherine passed away, surrounded by the love of her son, Ronald Clyde Barnhill, from natural causes.

Catherine was predeceased by her parents, Phillip Vincent and Frances Scardina, and is survived her son, Ronald Clyde Barnhill, as well as various nieces and nephews on both the Barnhill and Scardina sides of the family. Catherine was married most of her married life to Elmer Clyde Barnhill, then long after his death, she remarried Mr. Johnson.

Catherine was very loved and appreciated for her amazing dish of spaghetti and meat balls.  So many fond memories of when she tried to overcome her Italian accent by taking speech lessons, she enjoyed oyster bakes with family while listening to country music. Please join us in telling this precious lady farewell.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, June 7 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 8 at 11:00 a.m.
