Casimir Patrick 'Pat' Malecki, Jr.

Casimir Patrick "Pat" Malecki, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14th, 2025, at the age of 82. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on December 26th, 1942, Pat resided in Pasadena, Maryland, since 1971, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and community.

A dedicated and skilled mechanic, Pat spent his career as a heavy equipment mechanic, a profession that not only sustained his family but also fueled his lifelong passion for tinkering in the garage. He retired in 2008, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication.

Pat proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, a commitment that further showcased his resilience and determination. His sense of duty and pride for his country was evident to all who knew him.

A man of many talents and interests, Pat could often be found in his garage, where he'd be fabricating, welding, repairing motors, upholstering, and building all sorts of things for himself, but more often for family or friends. His enthusiasm for fixing and creating was surpassed only by the love he held for his family.

Pat is survived by his wife, Cheryl Malecki, his cherished children, Barbara Bohle, Joseph Malecki and Stacey Dumsha and her husband Kelly, his dear sister, Darlene King, and his brother, Daryl Malecki. Pat was a proud "Poppy" to Paul Dumsha, Ryan Dumsha, and Jenna Mack, and Ricky Morgan, and he was blessed with two great-grandchildren, Dawson and Harper Dumsha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Casimir Malecki Sr. and Doris Malecki, his daughter, Julie Buck, his siblings, Donald and Jerry Malecki, his sister, Joyce Malecki, and his granddaughter, Kimberly Morgan, who all now welcome him into eternal peace.

Visitation will be held at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Pat's life, share memories, and offer their final goodbyes to a remarkable man who touched the lives of so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Pat's honor to a charity of choice, reflecting his generous spirit and commitment to helping others. Pat's legacy will continue to inspire and guide all who knew and loved him, and he will be deeply missed.
