Carla Moorhead Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carla Rose Moorhead, a cherished member of the Pasadena, Maryland community for 59 years. Born on Sunday, February 5th, 1950, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Carla left this world peacefully on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025, just shy of her 75th birthday.

Carla's life was a tapestry of devotion, work, and joy. She was the beloved wife of Ralph R. Moorhead, Sr., with whom she shared a remarkable 59 years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family, raising their son, Ralph R. Moorhead, and daughter, Shirley A. Moorhead, who, along with her husband David Peacock, Sr., brought Carla immense pride and joy. Carla was also a dear sister to Linda Keener.

Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren—David Peacock, Jr., Shannon Peacock, Stephanie Shea, Caitlin Moorhead, Kristen Parrish, Amanda Funk, Samantha Stack and Charles Parrish, Jr.—as well as her great-grandchildren Tobias Peacock, Charlotte Peacock, Raygen Means, Brantley Funk, and Ryder Parrish, who filled Carla's life with laughter and love.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents, Henry William Pagel and Dorothy Pagel, and her beloved daughter, Dorothy Parrish.

Carla spent her career as a dedicated manager and cleaning supervisor, working for many years at Marley Station Mall and several other locations. Her work ethic and leadership left a lasting impression on everyone she worked with.

A woman of vibrant spirit, Carla was a past member of the Moose and found joy in dancing, playing bingo at Bingo World, and trying her luck at the slot machines. Her enthusiasm for life was contagious, and her warmth and kindness won her many friends.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on the date of her birth,  Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will take place at the same location at 8:00 pm.

Carla touched the hearts of many and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
