Calvin served his country honorably in the United States Navy, embodying dedication and commitment to the values he held dear. Later, he worked at Giant Food as a clerk for 25 years, retiring in 1996. His colleagues remember him as a dependable and friendly face, always ready with a joke and a helping hand.

A man of many interests, Calvin was a life member of the American Legion in Damascus #171 and a past usher at St. Jane Frances Catholic Church, where he married his beloved wife, Joanne. Together, they built a life focused on family and community.

His hobbies included bowling, fishing, and crabbing, and he was an avid fan of both the Orioles and Ravens. Calvin also enjoyed playing corn hole and was always active and young at heart, often walking 1-3 miles a day. He delighted in helping his neighbors, consistently offering his time and energy to those around him.

Calvin is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Joanne Pugh; son Calvin "Butch" E. Pugh and his wife Teresa; daughter Tracey M. Fisk and her husband Jeff. He also leaves behind cherished grandchildren: Calvin "Chip" Pugh, III and his wife Erin, Garrett Fisk, and Joseph Fisk; as well as his great-grandson Dayton Pugh. He was predeceased by his parents, Hamilton and Mary Elizabeth Pugh, and brothers Frank and James Pugh.
