It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Conrad Erbe, Sr., who peacefully departed this life on Monday, January 20th, 2025, at the age of 96. A resident of Pasadena, Maryland, Bruce was born on March 1st, 1928, in Baltimore, Maryland, to George and Matilda Erbe.

Bruce lived a full and remarkable life. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1948 to 1952, instilling a sense of patriotism and dedication that followed him throughout his life. His time in the Army was a source of immense pride for Bruce, and he often recounted stories of his service with fondness and respect.

In civilian life, Bruce channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into Erbe Pool Service, a successful business he built and ran for 15 vibrant years before retiring and passing on the reins to his youngest son, Brent. Bruce's commitment to his work was matched only by his love for pools and his unwavering devotion to his family.

A devoted husband, Bruce was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Virginia Lee Erbe, with whom he shared many joyful years. Also preceding him in death were his son Jeffrey Allen Erbe, father George Erbe, mother Matilda Erbe, as well as 6 siblings ,George, Howard, Carolyn, Margaret, Katherine, and Patsy .

Bruce's memory will forever be cherished by his surviving family: his sons Bruce Conrad Erbe Jr. and Brent Madison Erbe (Patricia); his five devoted grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a community of friends and relatives who were touched by his kindness and dedication.

Visitation services will be held at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Sunday, January 26th, 2025. Afternoon visitation will take place from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and evening visitation will be held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will also be held at Stallings Funeral Home on Sunday evening starting at 8:00 pm.

A graveside service will be conducted at Baltimore National Cemetery in Catonsville, Maryland, on Monday, January 27th, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:15 am, where Bruce will be lovingly laid to rest alongside his beloved Virginia.

Bruce will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his work, and his zealous pride in his children and grandchildren. His life was a testament to hard work, family values, and the enduring strength of love and service. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting memories.
