Brooke Amber Maks

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brooke Amber Maks, who left us unexpectedly on Saturday, April 19th, 2025. Born on a summer day in Baltimore, Maryland, Brooke was a vibrant and beloved member of the Glen Burnie, MD community where she resided.

Brooke was the cherished daughter of Brian K. Maks and Catrina Marie Maks. Her spirit will continue to live on through her loving fiancé, Coty Sexton, her treasured son, Grayson Sears, and her brother, Brian J. Maks. She is also survived by her maternal grandmother, Donna Cline-Harris, paternal grandparents John Maks and Bertha Scriba, and her great grandmother, Marie Cline. Brooke was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Dennis Cline, and great grandmothers Dorothy Steinbrenner and Ethel Maks.

A dedicated Deli Manager, Brooke was known for her commitment to her work and her friendly demeanor that brightened the day of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Outside of work, Brooke embraced life with passion and zeal. She was a free spirit, her skin adorned with tattoos and piercings that told the stories of a life lived vividly. A music enthusiast, Brooke found joy in attending concerts, with a special love for One Direction. She enjoyed expressing herself, always speaking her mind with honesty and conviction, and was known for her spontaneous nature and inability to sit still for long. Brooke relished her moments playing video games and cherished every moment spent with her son, who was the center of her world.

Brooke was eagerly planning her future and was set to marry the love of her life, Coty Sexton, this coming October. Her departure leaves a void in the lives of her family and all who knew her, but her indomitable spirit will forever inspire those she leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Brooke's life at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. An afternoon visitation will be held on Sunday, April 27th, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by an evening visitation from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, April 28th, 2025, at 11:30 AM at the same location. Burial will take place immediately following the funeral service at Meadowridge Memorial Park.

Brooke's boundless energy and zest for life will always be remembered, for she has left an indelible mark on our hearts. May she rest in peace, forever cherished and never forgotten.
