Betty Hart Frank Obituary

Betty Hart Frank, a cherished resident of Pasadena, Maryland, since 1963, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16th, 2025, at the age of 100. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on Saturday, December 6th, 1924, Betty lived a vibrant and fulfilling life characterized by warmth, adventure, and an unwavering love for her family and community.

A kind and spirited person, Betty was known by her granddaughter and many of her friends as the Queen of Harts. She was a member of many local organizations, including VFW Post #2462, where she was a cherished member of the McDonald’s club that convened each Monday. She was also a beloved part of the Poplar Ridge Seniors Club and looked forward to dance sessions with her friends at Magothy United Methodist every Friday.

In her golden years, Betty captured headlines and hearts by skydiving at the age of 90, a testament to her fearless nature. Throughout her life, she embraced water skiing, boating, and even riding motorcycles. Her love for the water was reflected in her cherished home by the shore, where she found solace and happiness.

Betty is survived by her loving daughter, Roxanne Hart and her husband, Russell Vedeloff; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Hart, Brooks Newman, and Kristin Whittington; her precious great-grandchildren, Skylar White, Kylie Whittington, and Kamden Whittington; a host of nieces and nephews, and her beloved Yorkie, Frankie Frank. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar A. Hart; second husband, Calvin E. Frank; her companion, Jim Atwell; her beloved son, Edgar A. Hart; and her parents, Edwin C. Hill and Esther Marie Jenkins.

Family and friends are invited to honor Betty’s life and memories at visitation services on Monday, October 20th, 2025, at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland. Afternoon visitation will occur from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, with an evening visitation from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the same venue, officiated by Pamela Wilkins.  Interment Loudon Park Cemetery.
