Benjamin Daniel Dumsha, 29, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, MD, died on April 23, 2021 at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center due to complications from Lupus.
Mr. Dumsha was born on September 24, 1991 in Baltimore, MD to Joseph and Deborah Dumsha. In his youth, Benjamin enjoyed playing sports for his local recreation league team, The Bucs. He graduated from Northeast High School in 2010, but always remained a lifelong learner. He was a writer, artist, philosopher, and comedian who loved to perform skits and make people laugh. He also loved to visit Ocean City with his family.
Mr. Dumsha is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Joseph A. Dumsha, Sr. and maternal grandparents, Daniel and Thelma Hahn.
In addition to his parents, Benjamin is survived by his paternal grandmother, Maria Cortina-Dumsha of Pasadena; brothers, Matthew Dumsha and his wife, Alicia, and Joseph and Samuel Dumsha, all of Pasadena; sisters, Shannon Jackson and her husband, Edward, and Emily and Kristen Dumsha, all of Pasadena; 3 nephews, Jackson, Colton, and Dominic Dumsha; and 1 niece, Arianna Dumsha.
Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, April 28 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Benjamin’s home church, St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 8499 Virginia Ave, Riviera Beach, MD 21122. Interment at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
