Barbara S. (Pope) Speargas

Barbara S. Speargas, 66, a 34 year resident of Arnold died on June 10, 2022 at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 1, 1955 to the late Joseph J. and Nettie J. Pope.  Mrs. Speargas lived in Glen Burnie for 5 years and then Cape St. Clair for 8 years prior to moving to Arnold.  She was a homemaker dedicated to her children and grandchildren.  Mrs. Speargas was a member of Cape St. Clair United Methodist Church where she was the Cherub Choir Director in the mid 1980's.  She also enjoyed gardening, being creative and collecting pineapples.

Mrs. Speargas is survived by her husband of 49 years, Stephen F. Speargas, her children; Brian S. Speargas, Chad E. Speargas (Jody), and Kimberly M. Gallagher (the late John), her siblings Steven J. Pope and Sheryl Robinson, and her grandchildren; Devan, Johnathen, Alaina, and Carson.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM where services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:00 AM.  Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Association by clicking HERE
