Barbara Ann Butta, 81, a 46 year resident of Glen Burnie and formerly of East Baltimore died on August 31, 2023 at her residence.
She was born on December 25, 1941 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Ethel and Edgar Showe. Mrs. Butta was a homemaker who would do anything for children, especially her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was a member and very involved with the 4H of Andover. Mrs. Butta was also the first woman in Maryland to drive in a para-mutual harness races.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughters Teresa Beckett and Teresa Butta-Stanton and her 3 sisters Ginger, Shirley, and Edna.
Mrs. Butta is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joseph Butta; her children William Beckett and Kimberly Wayne and her husband Scott; her grandchildren William Beckett II and his partner Jessica and Brittany Lavicka and her husband Blain; and her great grandchildren Colton and Olivia Beckett.
Friends may visit on Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Stallings Funeral Home where services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by clicking HERE
