Amiya Alexis Snowden

Amiya Alexis Snowden, 21, a lifelong resident of Maryland, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024. 

Amiya was born June 6, 2002 to Robert, Sr. and Angela Snowden. She graduated from North County Highschool in 2020. She had an absolute passion for animals and was working as a Veterinary Technician. Between 2 Vet Hospitals, she was being trained to work in Veterinary Medicine. Amiya was very artistic and enjoyed painting, puzzles and putting together Lego sets. She loved to go on trips, especially to the beach. A vivacious personality, she lit up any room she would walk in to and had the biggest, most contagious smile. Her mother described her as being a "princess" since the day she was born. So much so, that she claimed that as her title and she absolutely lived up to it. A bright light in this world, she will be missed by so many. 

Amiya is survived by her parents, Robert Snowden, Sr. and Angela Snowden; step-father, Shaun; siblings, Robert "Bobby" Snowden, Jr. and Nevaeh "Nan" Boss; paternal grandparents, William "Bill" Hohman and Ellen "Ellie" Hohman; maternal grandmother, Deborah Adams; great grandparents, Charles Mercer and Catherine Mercer; aunts, Katrina, Ashlee, Mishel, Booger, Heather, Renee and Lizzy; uncles, Milton, Joey, Johnny and Masn. 

Friends may call Saturday, May 11th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122 where a service will be held at 8:00 pm. Interment is private.
