Albert Klein Obituary

Albert “Pop Pop” James Klein, 91 of Pasadena, MD, passed away Wednesday, April 2nd.
He was the son of the late Albert H. and Anna Grace Klein. Al attended Glen Burnie High School.
Al is survived by his beloved wife, Betty of 46 years.  He was father to his sons and their wives, Jimmy, John, Shoby, Brian and Kate.  Al was a beloved Grandfather to 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Albert proudly served 2 years active duty in the United States Army.  He was a member of the Special Forces as a paratrooper and Green Beret in the 82nd Airborne Division. He served for more than 30 years as a Sergeant First Class in the Maryland Army National Guard, where he earned numerous Meritorious Service Medals.
During his time in the service, he was affectionately called “Granny” by his brothers in arms because he was always taking care of all who were around him.

As a demolition professional, he was considered to be an expert in that field.

In his free time, Albert enjoyed gardening, rebuilding computers, feeding all the animals and spending time at the Pascal Senior Center.

Pop Pop Al was a loving family man who often sent care packages, coupons and goodies to his family members. He even sent treats to Chase and Dixie, the dogs. One of his biggest pleasures was doing for and taking his grandchildren to the places they wanted to go, spending time with them at their sporting events and just spoiling them as he so loved to do.
Albert was a lifelong resident of Green Haven and Pasadena.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Al's life during an evening gathering at Stallings Funeral Home in Pasadena, Maryland, on Friday, April 25th, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm where a service will be held at 5:00 pm.

Albert had a big bellowing laugh, was easy going and loved by all, and will be missed by his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his huge, caring heart and for his unwavering commitment to do for others.
