Alana Ferguson Obituary

Alana C. Ferguson, a lifelong resident of Pasadena, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on September 12, 1944, Alana was the cherished daughter of the late Arthur and Bernice Cole.

A proud graduate of Glen Burnie High School in 1962, Alana found joy in her career as a bus driver with Brannock's Bus Service, where she transported children safely to and from school for over 15 years. She later transitioned to a role as an office manager at Millennium Chemicals, where her organizational skills and warm demeanor left a lasting impression until her retirement in the early 2000s.

Alana was beloved by her community and family for her remarkable baking skills, especially her famous strawberry cupcakes. Her hands were rarely still, always moving with purpose as she crocheted beautiful creations. Above all, her heart was fullest when she was surrounded by her grandchildren, sharing in their laughter and adventures.

Preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ferguson, Sr.; her parents, Arthur and Bernice Cole; her sister, Bernice Hobson; and her brother, Arthur Cole, Alana leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth. She is survived by her devoted children Robert "Bobby" Ferguson and Lisa Brandt, and her husband Chuck; her grandchildren, Katie Riffle, Chuck Brandt, Robert Ferguson, and Connor Brandt; her nieces Lynn Bush and Gail Gobrecht, her nephew Will Hobson; as well as six precious great-grandchildren.

In honor of Alana's generous spirit and her dedication to helping others, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake or St. Jude Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers.

Funeral services and interment are private.

Alana will be remembered for her kind heart, her spirited laugh, and the sweet scent of her baking that filled her home. Her memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Rest in peace, Alana. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
