Carolyn M. Tydings, 67, of Ellicott City and formerly of Glen Burnie died on August 28, 2008 at Howard County General Hospital.
Mrs. Tydings was born on May 26, 1941 in Baltimore, MD to Mildred and the late Herman Groh.
She retired from Social Security Administration where she worked as a personnel manager.  Mrs. Tydings was a past member of Community United Methodist Church.  She was very active as a volunteer at North Glen Elementary and she also enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Mrs. Tydings is preceded in death by her father Herman Groh.  She is survived by her mother Mildred Tydings of Charlestown, MD, her son Scott Tydings of Ellicott City, MD and her grandson Ryan Tydings of Ellicott City, MD.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, P.A. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.  Interment will be at Glen Haven Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Maryland Office, 800 Wyman Park Drive, 1st Floor, Baltimore, MD 21211.
