    John M. Smith, 88, a resident of Pasadena for over 50 years died on July 25, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

    He was born in Baltimore, MD on April 18, 1924 to the late George and Carrie Smith.

    Mr. Smith served in the US Army and was veteran of WWII.

    He was the owner of American TV Repairs in Baltimore for 25 years retiring in the early 1980's.

    He was a member of Our Lady of the Chesapeake.

    His hobbies included fishing, crabbing, and boating. He enjoyed being on the water. Mr. Smith was also active with Meals on Wheels.

    He is survived by his wife of 63 years Eileen M. Smith, his son Michael S. Smith of Pasadena, his daughters; Kathleen Williams and her husband Joseph of Pasadena and Cheryl Gray and her husband David of Severna Park, his brother Edward Smith of Perry Hall, his grandchildren; Laura Wood and her husband Keith of Glen Burnie, Amanda Gray of Severna Park, and Adam Gray of Severna Park, and his great grandson Ryan Wood of Glen Burnie.

    Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Walter Smith.

    Friends may call on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10:00 AM. Interment private.
