  • Judith R. Wimmer, 71, a resident of Lutherville for 33 years and formerly of Colorado died on July 11, 2012.
    She was born on November 21, 1940 in Tannersville, NY to the late Myrtle and Bruce Reed. Mrs. Wimmer graduated Suma Cum Laude from Western Maryland College in 1962.
    Mrs. Wimmer was a teacher in Baltimore City from 1979 until her retirement in 2011. She was department head at Southwestern of the foreign language, music and arts department.
    Mrs. Wimmer was a member of the Maryland State Teachers Association and a sponsor to Friends of Chamber Music, Inc.
    She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dr. William C. Wimmer, her son William N. Wimmer of Pittsburg, PA, her daughter Laura Stokes of Pasadena, her sister Margaret Bloom of Vermont, and her grandchildren Daniel Stokes, Margaret McCormick, and Brady Stokes.
