Doris E. Smeltzer, 88, a resident of Anne Arundel County for over 49 years died on June 16, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.
She was born on November 1, 1923 in Baltimore, MD to the late Eugene E. and Hettye Shilow.
Mrs. Smeltzer worked for Montgomery Wards doing clerical work in the 50's and early 60's and then became a homemaker.
She enjoyed spending time with her dogs, gardening and trips to Altoona Beach, Ocean City and Florida.
Mrs. Smeltzer is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William I. Smeltzer and her daughter Janice E. Zeeler.
She is survived by her son William "Bill" E. Smeltzer of Pasadena, her grandchildren; Joseph William Smeltzer, Tara, Jason, and Travis Zeeler, and her great grandchildren; Jordon & Logan Smeltzer, and Kaya Zeeler.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM.  Interment Loudon Park Cemetery.
