    Mary Ann L. Snyder, 79, a resident of Severna Park for 32 years died on May 19, 2012 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

    She was born in Baltimore, MD on February 11, 1933 to the late Leonard and Anna DeFontes. Mrs. Snyder grew up in Baltimore near Patterson Park. She married on June 15, 1957 and then moved to Pasadena in 1958 where she lived for the next 17 years before moving to the Eastern Shore. Mrs. Snyder lived on the shore for two year prior to moving to Severna Park.

    She attended St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church as a child and now she is a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Glen Burnie.

    For over 20 years she worked as a managing cosmetologist for D'Arrigone Salon of Beauty inside of Stewart's Department store in Towson.

    Her hobbies included reading, traveling, and watching Oprah on television. Mrs. Snyder was also a great cook, especially crab soup.

    Mrs. Snyder is survived by her husband of 54 years, Franklin “Merle” Snyder, her son Eric Snyder of Severna Park, her daughters; Deanna Quasny and her husband David of Pasadena, and Mia Snyder of Severna Park, her sister DorisTana of DE, 3 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

    She is preceded in death by her brother Leonard DeFontes.

    Friends may call on Tuesday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Stallings Funeral Home, PA where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. Interment Parkwood Cemetery.
