Henry J. Synowski was born December 13, 1915 in Philadelphia, Pa. to Stephen J. and Mary Synowski. Mr. Synowski moved to the Glen Burnie area 23 years ago from Brooklyn Park, Md. He passed on Saturday November 29, 2008 in Annapolis at the Spa Creek Center. Married to Ida F. Synowski 62 years ago. He retiered in the late 80's from various Government Contractors as a computer maintenance supervisor.  A veteran of WWII US Army Company "E" 38th Engineers. He served in the invasion of Normandy and Northern France. He received American Defense Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Ribbon with Bronze Arrowhead, Good Conduct Medal with Clasp & the Croix de Guerre Ribbon with Bronze  Palm. He also served in the CCC Civil Conservation Corps. in the 30's. He enjoyed gardening and doing yard work. Mr. Synowski was survived by a son Henry J. Synowski of Pasadena, a brother Dr. Richard C. Synowski of Salem, Oregon. 2 grandchildren, Dr. Stephen and Rachel A. Synowski. He was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may call on Wednesday December 3rd  from 3-5 & 7-9PM at the  Stallings Funeral Home PA. 3111 Mountain Rd.
